About New to Nyack New to Nyack is a very informal group established in 1998 that affiliated with Friends of the Nyacks in 2001. The organization welcomes newcomers who have been in the Nyack area less than three years—but we rely on the knowledge and experience of “oldcomers.”

We meet on Sundays about ten times a year for a late afternoon or early evening potluck party—in our homes or in public places. Our members are all ages.We welcome families, couples and singles.Membership is informal. There are no dues or fees or membership cards or officers—only a steering committee to maintain a membership list, plan the gatherings and notify members of New to Nyack events.
